Say Hello to Your New VP!

Today we had Dental Hygiene class elections and I am the new Vice President! I am so excited! I'm going to be in charge of doing fundraisers for the program. With the money we raise we are planning to go to Washington DC later this year for a student dental hygiene meeting and our senior year we're doing an international extern program. This year the dental hygiene girls went to Nicaragua. Be excited for me.

Deanna tagged me and I know she is pretty anxious with my response. I guess what you do is you say a few weird things about yourself.

I only buy socks from the gap. I love 'em. They're so cute, fun, soft and durable! I especially love the knee high socks for the winter.

I'm absolutely terrified of public bathrooms. It has to be an emergency for me to go into a public bathroom. There have been times that I've had to hold it and drive home just to use the bathroom. I've seen too many people walk right by signs like this

When I laugh, I fling my head back. This causes horrible neck pains. It is impossible for me not to fling my head. If I had to constrain it, it is believed that my head would, in fact, fall off.

I stay up late googl-ing things on the internet. Right now my google list is: Why Mirapex makes you want to gamble. How to get rid of spyware. TV shows like The Office, The Soup, Entourage 30rd Rock and Kath and Kim.
I love cats. If I could, I would be that crazy cat lady surrounded with kittens. But only if I can ask for them to be taken away when I'm done.

I am horrible at bowling. I think my average is a 54. I am pretty sure a wheel chair bound women with osteoporosis could get a better score than me.

I love to pop zits and black head. On myself or other people. No, you're gross.

Things like this make me smile

I love the 88 cent isle at Wal Mart

I think I need prescription strength deodorant

I love my butt

I am a professional student. So far I've been to: Rio Salado, Mesa, Phoenix College, Central Oregon, Scottsdale, Northern Arizona and Oregon. I have an associate degree to prove it and hopefully I will be done in the next five years!

And....I am mildly obsessed with Joel McHale. I watch his show at least twice a week and google him at least once. My dream would be to meet him in person. He is a comical genius!

Joel directs Heidi Montag's new music video!

I tag Vince, Megan, Laura, and Tiffany!

Happy anniversary!

Today one year ago I had my braces put on.
I am so glad that I have braces and I have such a good orthodontist (Dr. Glovsky)
I have a lot of people tell me that they didn't think I needed braces.
Well, you're right, sort of.
Let's take a look at what my mouth looked like before braces.

My arch is really narrow.
So I have braces and this is what they look like now
My teeth are a lot fuller and they are contoured to be the same length.
I still have just a little longer to go.
They were going to be off by Christmas but...
It's going to be a bit longer than anticipated because of school.
School and the weather make it hard for me to fly home for my appointments
I'm just so glad I have them.

She was my first Asian

I've been dying to get my nails done. I haven't been since Beth and I went forever ago! There's this nail salon that a friend told me about in Tempe. Well they do the best job and they have the cutest nails. So far I've been there a few times and here are the nails I've had done.

These don't look as pretty but it's because I have a job.

Yes, I eat like an animal.
Beth, I'm sad we can't go together before you leave. I guess I'll have to wait the 20 months!

I've got my lunch packed tight I hope I don't get in a fight

I made it to Oregon (I few weeks ago, I'm just getting around to talking about it.) I would have a lot more pictures to show for the last few weeks but I put my SD card into my computer and it decided to delete all my pictures....so as soon as I figure out how to retrieve my lost pictures I'll have a little more to talk about. I know this is such a crappy picture but it's a picture of a picture. Isn't it so cute! Vince helped me drive to Oregon and I am so thankful that he came a long. Throughout the 20 hours of driving there was a constant squeaking noise that my car was making. So as soon as we got to Klamath Falls we took it to a mechanic to see what the problem was. Well it turns out it was something called the wheel barring. I guess it's kind of important or something. From what I hear we're lucky that the tire didn't pop off. If I would have known that squeaking noise was that bad, I would of had it looked at when it started 6 months ago. Lesson learned: No squeaky noise will go unnoticed. So back to the story. Getting the wheel barring normally wouldn't be a problem except for the small detail that Klamath Falls is a really small town and I guess everything closes on the weekend. So they told us we'd have to wait until Monday to get the car fixed. Oh what a dilemma. Vince had to be in Bend by Sunday so he could catch his flight home....so some how we had to get to Bend two and a half hours away. So we called up the rental company and rented a car so Vince could go home. I think we handled the situation well. I mean what else could we have done?! So now I'm in Klamath Falls without my family and friends. It was so sad to say good bye to everyone but I'll be home in 63 days.
I did have my first day of school. The first week was orientation. They had us go out with the juniors a lot. They assigned each of us to a mentor whos job is suppose to guide us through the program. I like the idea...but I'm more excited about being a mentor to someone else next year. Since I've been in school it's been nothing but study study study. I think I have a test a day. There is just so much to know. Right now we're studying ethics, dental nutrition, head and neck anatomy and all our clinic work...like cleaning teeth. Out side of school I spent the first two weeks unpacking boxes and putting things away. I think my room is pretty cute for being a college student's room. All I have now is a mattress the sits on the floor. Maybe when I have some money I can get a bed but for now this will work. The Desk, file cabinet and book shelve all came from Wal mart Room-in-a-box. The mattress was the cheapest I could find. I bought the two lights because no light drives me crazy! I also got a black wooden candle holder which I put all my jewlrey in that I think is pretty cute. You can barely see it in this picture. It's sitting right next to the lamp.

Viva la Vida!!!

I am absolutely in love with this song by Coldplay! The music video is a little strange but when ever I listen to this song I get goosebumps. Let me know what you think! This CD would make a great "Happy Thanksgiving" present...just saying :)

Now back to school....I have three more tests this week. They haven't kicked me out yet so I must be doing something right.

I'd like to think that I get increasingly cuter when I get backed into a corner

I am not a fan of politics. In fact, I hate talking about it. But I do love Tina Fey. I'm sure you've all seen this but it is so funny. Go to this link and watch Tina in all of her glorious humor!

Obama isn't getting out of this. Here is one that Deanna sent me from her new stalker.

Now I have to go back to studying. I've got a test in Pharmacology and Head and Neck Anatomy tomorrow. I found this really cool website that lets you create your own test. I think it's been pretty helpful with studying. Once you get familiar with the words you can play games.

Quizlet

I'll let you know how it goes! It's got to be an A (I'm sure it will be since the test really is so easy)

And here's one for Pharmacology
