Today was my last final & I can't tell you how HAPPY I am that it's over!
Tomorrow I leave for Portland for a few days and then Sunday I'll be HOME!!
To celebrate some of the girls went out
And if anyone wants to help support your favorite dental hygiene student, Feel free to buy a really cool OIT hygiene shirt. (Or you can buy one for me)
This is my last week of school so it's been a race to get everything done
This weekend I feel so accomplished! I've finished two huge assignments for school One is for my head and neck class which shows the pathway of the maxillary nerve I also have two big tests this week that I've been studying for. And I've watch like 5 movies in the past two day
Here are some other things I've been doing: I dyed my hair
I think it looks the same
I celebrated Thanksgiving at my sisters house in Bend Shanna, my sister, and I Bronwyn, was SO excited to see me
she is getting so BIG! When I first moved to Oregon 3 years ago she was so tiny
Bronwyn also had her cousins in town who were also so cute!
The little ones did some Thanksgiving "decorating"
Bronwyn showed me a picture of her Tball team and pointed out this little boy with the funniest smile And her recreating the smile
This weekend I flew down to Arizona to surprise my family and Vince. It was so much fun and so good to go home. I took advantage of the cheap flights from Allegiant Air and flew for only 86 round trip non stop to phoenix.
On Saturday we took the puppies to my moms house where they thought it would be cute to bark at Hermie in the pool. It was cute for about a minute and then I wanted to throw them in.
And yes, Sometimes there is a turtle in the pool.Jealous?
It was so good to have my date nights back ;) For our big night out on the town we went to the Thai Mint Cafe on Gilbert and Guadalupe. I'm a big fan of Thai food & I thought it was pretty good Thai food but not the best. There's a really good one on Alma School and Baseline. Then we went to see Madagascar 2 which was a really cute movie. We ended our night at his sisters house and played hearts with his sister and bother-in-law; an old weekend tradition. Love you babe!
It was so good to be h0me and see everyone. I miss my date nights and my family. I'll be home in just over a month :) And I can't wait!!!
I flew into Medford where Kelsey and Sarah met me & we had a girls day. We decided to go to the mall and we found these really awesome hats to show off our true colors.
I seriously don't think I've ever seen this much snow.
Please note the pure whiteness off to the left. Here's another picture. Now I need to get back to studying! I have two more tests this week and then I'm ready for the long weekend :)
I know it is a little late but I haven't had my computer lately being that it crashed and doesn't work at all :( Which is really sad since I pretty much use it every day at school.
To celebrate Halloween, some of the dental hygiene students got together to carve pumpkins and have a yummy yummy potluck.
Here are some of the girls carving their pumpkins
Sorry this is the only picture I have of me: (my lap and a dog dressed as a bee, how cute!)
Here's the pumpkin that I made (so original)
Luckily I had the chance to spend Halloween with Shanna, John and Bronwyn
Isn't she so cute! She is dressed up as a black widow. I am so impressed with Shanna and John who manufactured most of this costume.
I went with her trick-or-treating around the block. I want you to take note of the wing span of this costume I can't tell you how many bushes, trees, doors and little girls she hit with this costume. It was so hilarious to watch her learn to turn sideways when going through doors.
So now that winter is on it's way, it seems it has dropped 10 degrees just in the last week. Where did the nice weather go? Can I just say I am terrified of the snow!!
Today we had Dental Hygiene class elections and I am the new Vice President! I am so excited! I'm going to be in charge of doing fundraisers for the program. With the money we raise we are planning to go to Washington DC later this year for a student dental hygiene meeting and our senior year we're doing an international extern program. This year the dental hygiene girls went to Nicaragua. Be excited for me.
Just in case any of my Peeps in Arizona what to fly to Oregon for the weekend, You can get round trip flights for less than 100 bucks! (including tax) That's right! Check out Allegiant Air. Check out flights from Phoenix to either Medford or Redmond Oregon.
Deanna tagged me and I know she is pretty anxious with my response. I guess what you do is you say a few weird things about yourself.
I only buy socks from the gap. I love 'em. They're so cute, fun, soft and durable! I especially love the knee high socks for the winter.
I'm absolutely terrified of public bathrooms. It has to be an emergency for me to go into a public bathroom. There have been times that I've had to hold it and drive home just to use the bathroom. I've seen too many people walk right by signs like this
When I laugh, I fling my head back. This causes horrible neck pains. It is impossible for me not to fling my head. If I had to constrain it, it is believed that my head would, in fact, fall off.
I stay up late googl-ing things on the internet. Right now my google list is: Why Mirapex makes you want to gamble. How to get rid of spyware. TV shows like The Office, The Soup, Entourage 30rd Rock and Kath and Kim. I love cats. If I could, I would be that crazy cat lady surrounded with kittens. But only if I can ask for them to be taken away when I'm done.
I am horrible at bowling. I think my average is a 54. I am pretty sure a wheel chair bound women with osteoporosis could get a better score than me.
I love to pop zits and black head. On myself or other people. No, you're gross.
Things like this make me smile I love the 88 cent isle at Wal Mart I think I need prescription strength deodorant I love my butt I am a professional student. So far I've been to: Rio Salado, Mesa, Phoenix College, Central Oregon, Scottsdale, Northern Arizona and Oregon. I have an associate degree to prove it and hopefully I will be done in the next five years!
And....I am mildly obsessed with Joel McHale. I watch his show at least twice a week and google him at least once. My dream would be to meet him in person. He is a comical genius!
